A Room of Shadows” Glow in the Dark Workshop

Building on the exploration of everyday life, traces, and the flow of time in the work Landscape of Duvet Mountain, presented in the Children’s Art Education Center exhibition Whispering Traces, this project extends into a workshop titled The Room of Shadows.
The workshop aims to transform the more abstract ideas found in the video work into a direct and intuitive interactive experience. Using glow-in-the-dark fabric that absorbs light and emits it on its own, the workshop invites participants into a process of experimentation. By covering areas that have not yet absorbed light, temporary shadows are formed; as the fabric reabsorbs light, these shadows gradually fade, allowing new ones to emerge. Variations in time create shadows of different depths and intensities, which become the material for creation.
In the course design, children are encouraged to use their bodies more actively, generating and transforming shadows through movement.
